About the role

  • Cost Accountant analyzing expenditures and reporting on efficiencies at National Salvage & Service Corporation. Requires strong analytical skills and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data collected logging a detail record of results
  • Journal entries, as directed
  • Define various products and operational costs
  • Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors affecting profitability of products and services
  • Assist in audits and general ledger preparation
  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
  • Ad-hock projects and analysis
  • Other transactional entry, review and/or reconciliations, as directed

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
  • One (1) to two (2) years general ledger accounting experience
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Work, Power Point)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Collaboration and teamwork which is essential to the role
