About the role

  • Sr. Engineering Manager leading tooling operations for Northrop Grumman in Clearfield, Utah. Responsible for quality, cost, and schedule targets across multi-disciplined teams.

Responsibilities

  • provide oversight and guidance to management team to ensure site and program objectives specific to quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction targets are met
  • responsible for the development of long-range plans and strategies to provide the most affordable Tooling products and services in the industry
  • identify and develop staffing/skills requirements, forecasts, and training plans
  • have Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibility to all site tooling activities and will ensure compliance to EVMS for all direct & indirect budgets
  • formulate capital asset plans and strategies to build a sustainable Tooling Manufacturing Center
  • collaborate with other Aeronautics Systems Sector Tooling Management to develop consistent process and procedures to help drive affordability and ensure the deployment of best practices across the sector

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment OR a Master’s degree and 5 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment or PhD and 2 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment
  • 3 years of proven experience leading teams OR projects
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
