About the role

  • Senior Partner Solutions Engineer at Akamai mentoring partners through the sales process. Engaging in training and enablement workshops to support customer acquisition effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Working with partners to accelerate new customer acquisition
  • Enabling partners to market, sell, implement and support Akamai solutions to customers in a self-sustaining manner
  • Conducting training and enablement workshops for a partner's sales, pre-sales and architect teams
  • Defining a partner-specific enablement plan based on the combined Akamai and partner's sales strategy
  • Collaborating with the Channel Sales team to manage partner progress and success against the enablement plan
  • Engaging in quarterly partner reviews to gain insights and advocating partner needs with product, marketing, and services teams for success.

Requirements

  • Have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
  • Have 10 years' experience in a customer/partner facing role such as, technical pre-sales, account/project management, or consulting
  • 7+ years of experience in Internet Technologies such as HTTP, DNS, and SSL is required
  • Demonstrate expertise in security, including WAAP, DDoS, Firewall, VPN, and understanding of Cloud Security, CDN architecture, solutions, and products.
  • Have good understanding of and experience working within a channel go-to-market strategy
  • Be able to effectively present complex and technical material to varying audiences virtually and in-person with project management experience
