About the role
- Data Analyst Trainee supporting the development of Power BI reports for training and certification data. Growing technical skills while contributing to workforce insights and organizational development.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of reports (BI):
- Training completion and participation
- Certification tracking and renewals
- Competency frameworks and skills matrices
- Learning effectiveness metrics
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (LMS, HR systems, Excel files, SharePoint, etc.).
- Assist in building data models and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for stakeholders.
- Monitor data quality and troubleshoot reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Document dashboard logic, data definitions, and reporting processes.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting tools and automation of manual processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Data Analytics / Business Analytics
- Information Systems
- Engineering
- Or related field
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
- Microsoft Power BI
- Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)
- Understanding of basic data concepts (data cleaning, validation, KPIs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly.
- Attention to detail and structured working style.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to:
- Power Query
- DAX basics
- SQL (basic querying)
- Familiarity with competency frameworks or certification tracking processes.
