About the role

  • Financial Analyst overseeing financial reporting and analysis for clients at NFP. Mentoring Junior Analyst and ensuring data accuracy in reporting and analysis processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review day-to-day financial reporting and analysis for select clients
  • Review data for accuracy and create client specific reports for analysis and review
  • Serve as a mentor to a Junior Analyst
  • Manage claims audit, dependent audit, and plan optimization/contribution differential analysis process
  • Develop self-funded renewal projections and assist in preparation of financial renewal summary
  • Prepare alternate funding options
  • Review client IBNR reserve analysis templates prior to actuarial review
  • Proof exhibits created by Level 1 Analysts
  • Update excel-based templates/models to improve the reporting or renewal process
  • Attend seminars or educational activities to stay up-to-date on latest developments
  • Attend client meetings to review financial reports

Requirements

  • Four-year college or university Finance/Statistics/Mathematics is preferred or 6+ years of equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or training with a carrier, consultant or broker
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Microsoft Access and Microsoft Power BI and Power Query skills preferred
  • Employees required to possess or obtain the Ohio Life and Health License within 4 months of employment.
