About the role

  • Compliance Manager leading a team to ensure compliance with regulations in the payments sector. Overseeing risk management and reporting for regulatory authorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of Regulatory Compliance Specialists and AML Officers
  • Designing solutions and ensuring the company’s compliance with regulations through independent control functions and managing compliance risk understood as the risk of consequences resulting from non-compliance with legal regulations, internal policies, and market standards (UUP, PSD, AML, DORA, as well as regulations related to areas beyond payment services – finance, technology, or integrations)
  • Examining, supervising, and regularly assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the implemented compliance system
  • Examining, supervising, and regularly assessing activities undertaken to ensure that the institution fulfills obligations arising from laws governing the operations of a National Payment Institution
  • Overseeing the monitoring of legal and regulatory changes applicable to obligated institutions and planning necessary resulting actions
  • Performing control mechanisms within processes under the second line of defense
  • Managing and supervising the reporting schedule to group regulators, informing the Management Board of compliance breaches, and providing regular reports on the activities of the managed team
  • Overseeing the assessment of new projects, products, and services introduced to the company’s offering, as well as the assessment of modifications to ensure their compliance with legal regulations, internal policies, and market standards
  • Participating in the implementation of internal and group procedures and supervising training for organizational units on new legal regulations
  • Supervising and maintaining the register of policies and procedures, as well as the register of outsourcing agreements
  • Managing publications in the KNF portal and distributing regulatory information within the group
  • Communicating with regulatory authorities, including the KNF, NBP, UOKiK, GIIF, and ensuring effective cooperation with regulatory, internal, and external auditors

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, including team management (experience managing a dispersed team is welcome), as well as experience working in card complaints or fraud transaction areas
  • Experience working with institutions supervised by the KNF
  • Excellent knowledge of national legislation applicable to National Payment Institutions (KIP)
  • Higher education in law
  • English language proficiency at B2 level
  • Very good command of the MS Office suite
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent work organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
