About the role
- Application Engineer managing end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications including maintenance, support, and optimization. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a technological environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications, including application maintenance, production support, enhancements, and performance optimization.
- Develop, enhance, and optimize application components using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Implement new features, enhancements, and integrations based on business requirements.
- Provide L2/L3 support for production systems, ensuring high availability and quick resolution of incidents.
- Troubleshoot issues across application layers—UI, backend services, APIs, and middleware.
- Manage containerized deployments on Kubernetes clusters.
- Work with AWS services to support cloud-based application operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Business to ensure smooth delivery.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support runbooks.
Requirements
- 4 – 8 years of experience working in large technology teams
- B-Tech in computer science, engineering or relevant field
- Strong programming experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services
- Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and microservices architecture
- Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS
- Strong debugging, log analysis, and performance tuning skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Instana, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Splunk (preferred)
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python) (preferred)
- Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) (preferred)
