About the role
- Logistics Systems Engineer managing software operations at Nespresso, focusing on WMS/WCS solutions and project performance. Collaborates across teams for logistical optimization in a diverse environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure operational maintenance and provide expert support for existing applications and new solutions
- Ensure the longevity and performance of systems by proactively managing obsolescence
- Troubleshoot systems within target timeframes as part of the on-call service
- Draft key specification documents (URS and FDS) in alignment with business requirements
- Lead testing and validation phases of solutions by developing appropriate test protocols
- Deliver training on processes and ensure delivered solutions meet operational expectations
- Analyze and monitor the impact of applications on logistics efficiency and performance
- Collaborate closely with Production Centers and headquarters to understand challenges, anticipate issues, and propose high-value solutions
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification (industrial management, computer science, or communication systems)
- Strong programming skills with proficiency in languages such as Java, C#, Python and SQL
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic and complex problem-solving abilities
- Clear and effective communication, both internally (between departments) and with external partners and suppliers
- Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, international environment
- Fluent in French and English; German is a plus
