- Legal Counsel for a global energy company handling energy regulation and project contracts. Seeking candidate with experience in energy sector regulatory matters in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Our client is a global mining and energy company developing one of the world’s largest green hydrogen projects. We are seeking a Legal Counsel with strong experience in energy regulation, PPAs, self-generation and infrastructure/energy project development, to act with autonomy in a lean and highly strategic environment.
- The position reports directly to the Legal Manager for Latin America, based abroad.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law and an active OAB license (Brazilian Bar Association)
- Minimum 7 years' experience in the energy sector, either as in-house counsel or at a law firm
- Strong background in energy regulatory matters and commercial or corporate transactions
- Proven ability to negotiate and draft contracts in English and Portuguese
- Fluent in English (company’s working language)
- Spanish is a plus but not required
- Hands-on, autonomous, business-oriented profile with sound judgment and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Availability to work in São Paulo, with some flexibility for travel
