About the role
- Labor & Employment Counsel providing expert legal advice on employment and labor matters at Axiom, collaborating with stakeholders to shape employment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment-related documents and policies
- Providing legal guidance on employment and labor matters, including accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and employee relations
- Conducting and advising on internal investigations
- Collaborating with internal teams, including HR and leadership, on employment-related matters and initiatives
- Managing employment and labor issues for operations across the U.S. and Canada
- Staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide proactive counsel
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in employment and labor law
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations (knowledge of Canadian employment law is a plus)
- Proven track record of advising clients or internal stakeholders on employment-related matters
- Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in MA
