Design Manager leading the design team within NAB to solve complex banking problems through innovative design thinking and methodologies. Responsible for quality oversight, collaboration, and team development.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design team within your domain/sub-domain ensuring effective collaboration and communication
Build strong stakeholder relationships to increase the impact and reach of design
Continuously explore emerging design trends, conduct research, and experiment with new design methodologies
Operationalise design strategies into daily activity for the design team
Ensure team members apply best practices in research and user testing within projects
Track in-flight and upcoming design work across all stages of the end to end experience
Enforce high standards for design quality across all projects
Advocate for the importance of inclusive design and provide training & support to the team
Support the design team in implementing the design system consistently across projects
Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitating clear communication on project goals and design progress
Requirements
7+ years experience working as a product designer or UX/UI designer
Experience within finance or service industries
Demonstrated ability to partner and successfully work with multiple disciplines and complex teams
Excellent working knowledge of the design process, experience design methodologies and principles
Demonstrated strong experience working in Agile, using agile tools & methods
Proven experience setting and using design processes and tools to digitise experiences
Preference for tertiary qualification in related industry
