Responsibilities

  • The Government Analyst II position plays a crucial role as a trainer and curriculum developer in the Office of Learning and Development (L&D) within the Bureau of Human Resource Management.
  • This role entails the design, development, and facilitation of various instructor-led and on demand courses, utilizing software tools such as Articulate 360, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Canva, and a Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure effective delivery and tracking of trainings.
  • An essential aspect of the role is to ensure that the content aligns with adult learning principles and caters to various learning styles, as well as conducting training needs assessments.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, the position also serves as the liaison for multiple change champion networks and/or as liaison for the learning and development council and other relevant groups, while also acting as the back-up administrator for the People First Learning Management System.
  • Finally, the individual in this role will be tasked with updating and managing the content on the L&D SharePoint site.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in Human Resources, social services, marketing, or public relations.
  • A post-secondary degree from an accredited college or university in the field of education, psychology, communications, business, or a related field may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred experience.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • One (1) year of experience in developing eLearning with design software (Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar).
  • One (1) or more years of experience with SharePoint.
  • Experience in public speaking.
  • Experience designing, developing, and facilitating courses.
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theories.
