About the role

  • Accounting Services Analyst performing complex accounting tasks and reconciliations for the Department of Health. Ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial records and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Applies professional accounting techniques in the performance of difficult accounting work
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of accounting records for complex budget entities
  • Performs the analyst role for the reconciliation of the Department's accounting records
  • Uses the Department's automated reconciliation system
  • Completes the reconciliation for 100% of DOH’s trust funds
  • Resolves any discrepancies between Departmental and State Account records
  • Processes expenditure corrections and other financial documents
  • Provides technical assistance to fiscal offices, auditors, and others

Requirements

  • Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the position
  • Knowledge of data processing principles, practices and techniques applicable to large-scale computer systems
  • Knowledge of accounting policy, practices and procedures
  • Detail knowledge of FLAIR
  • Knowledge of basic management principles
