About the role
- Accounting Services Analyst performing complex accounting tasks and reconciliations for the Department of Health. Ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial records and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Applies professional accounting techniques in the performance of difficult accounting work
- Responsible for the reconciliation of accounting records for complex budget entities
- Performs the analyst role for the reconciliation of the Department's accounting records
- Uses the Department's automated reconciliation system
- Completes the reconciliation for 100% of DOH’s trust funds
- Resolves any discrepancies between Departmental and State Account records
- Processes expenditure corrections and other financial documents
- Provides technical assistance to fiscal offices, auditors, and others
Requirements
- Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the position
- Knowledge of data processing principles, practices and techniques applicable to large-scale computer systems
- Knowledge of accounting policy, practices and procedures
- Detail knowledge of FLAIR
- Knowledge of basic management principles
