Responsibilities

  • Providing oversight of organizational performance, quality, and compliance.
  • Contributing to strategic planning and long-term sustainability.
  • Ensuring accountability to Residents, Clients, Families and the broader community.
  • Supporting strong leadership, ethical decision-making, and risk management.
  • Upholding fiduciary and legal responsibilities as a Board Director.

Requirements

  • Previous Board experience is an asset but is not required.
  • Orientation and ongoing education are provided.
  • Experience or expertise in Human Resources and Labour Relations.
  • Experience or expertise in Financial management or accounting.
  • Experience or expertise in Legal expertise (Health, Employment, Corporate, or Governance).
  • Experience or expertise in Long-Term Care Redevelopment/Construction Project Management.
  • Experience or expertise in Public Affairs and Marketing.
  • Sound judgement, collaborative leadership, and a commitment to community service.
