About the role

  • Senior Fullstack Engineer developing features for Motive’s platform. Building custom tools for sales processes and contributing to innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build responsive, accessible, and performant frontend experiences that make safety insights, event timelines, and video playback easy to understand and act on.
  • Work full stack to design and integrate APIs, connect data pipelines and services, and deliver dependable user experiences backed by secure, well-tested code.
  • Instrument features with telemetry and analytics to measure adoption, reliability, and UX quality, and use feature flags and experiments for safe, incremental rollouts.
  • Collaborate with ML and device teams to bring edge detections and rich media to the platform, handling streaming video, large datasets, and real-time updates.
  • Improve UI reliability, error handling, and observability so fleet managers and drivers can review events, take action, and complete coaching flows quickly.
  • Contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, test coverage, and proactive performance profiling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development with a strong frontend focus.
  • Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework like React, Angular, Vue. Plus solid TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills.
  • Backend experience with one or more of Ruby on Rails, Go, Python, or Node.js, including API design and integration.
  • Strong grounding in web performance, accessibility, responsive design, and state management.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile collaboration.
  • Ability to write secure, maintainable, and testable code and to own features end to end.
