About the role
- Senior Data Architecture Specialist designing and maintaining data integration solutions for Morgan Stanley. Involved in building data architecture and optimizing data storage using various technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models and design enterprise data architecture, including data warehouses, data lakes, and integration pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Translate complex business requirements into technical data strategies, aligning data infrastructure with organizational goals
- Establish data governance frameworks, define data standards, and implement security measures to ensure compliance
- Select appropriate database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Cloud platforms like Snowflake, AWS) and optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and trends to continuously improve the data ecosystem
- Onboard firm standard ETL & AI tools working with SMEs
- Design and support strategic reporting tools end-to-end such as Power BI, Tableau
- Lead Integration solution between SaaS applications and Morgan Stanley
- Represent the technology team at the fleet ceremonies, such as Incremental Business Reviews
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery and client success functions
- Collaborate closely with technical leads and functional analysts to develop and enhance data pipelines while driving continuous improvement of integrations
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working as a hands-on developer in databases such as Python, Postgres, DB2, shell scripting (i.e., Bash or KSH) and ETL technologies
- Worked extensively on data integration, designing, and developing reusable interfaces
- Worked extensively on Python libraries such as Pandas, PySpark
- Proven experience leading large, complex client engagements, technology, or transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and principles
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with an ability to influence at the executive level
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing enablement or transformation programs
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Working knowledge of AI-driven insights or automation to support smarter decision-making and delivery optimization
- Previous experience with Source to Pay toolset is a plus.
