Business Strategy and Planning Manager supporting Walmart Biscuit business with a focus on analytics and strategic planning. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth and execution excellence.
Responsibilities
Serve as the central planning and strategy lead supporting the Walmart Biscuit business, representing ~$2B in annual sales
Lead development of customer volume, promotional, and financial plans, ensuring alignment across Sales, Finance, and RGM
Act as the primary analytical engine for the team, leveraging syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana) to identify growth opportunities, risks, and performance gaps
Partner closely with the Walmart Customer Vice President, Sweet and Savory business leads, Sales Finance, and RGM to strengthen annual and in-year plans
Support the team on building robust promotional plans, including analysis of trade efficiency, volume forecasts, and post-event performance
Development, deployment, and tracking of pallet-ready displays, display compliance
Lead sell-through tracking and performance analysis for Limited Time Offerings (LTOs) across both Sweet and Savory portfolios
Working cross functionally to support the creation of internal quarterly and annual planning materials, including leadership-ready storytelling and performance summaries
Serve as a thought partner and insight generator, using category and shopper analytics to enhance the annual plan and challenge the status quo
Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support business decisions, customer conversations, and leadership requests
Requirements
+7 years in CPG sales / sales strategy & planning type role
Highly efficient in Microsoft suite, Syndicated data (Nielson preferred) and Scintilla
Strong background in Sales, Customer Planning, Category Management, and Commercial Analytics
Demonstrated experience leveraging syndicated data to drive strategy and decision-making
Understanding of Walmart’s retail model, planning cadence, and performance metrics
Proven ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment, influencing across Sales, Finance, and RGM
Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights and executive-ready narratives
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
