About the role

  • Junior Water Resources Engineer supporting waterfront infrastructure projects with hydraulic modeling and technical documentation. Collaborating with teams to develop engineering solutions for civil design challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Performs 1D and 2D riverine and coastal hydraulic modeling
  • Performs numerical modeling in support of stormwater and drainage improvements projects
  • Prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates, in support of final bid packages
  • Participates in design activities and meetings between project team members, subcontractors, and client managers
  • Participates in project decisions regarding technical approaches, feasibility, cost, construction approaches, and scheduling performance
  • Prepares written and graphic reports and makes presentations
  • Under direction, prepares various draft documents, including reports and technical memoranda

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; required
  • Master’s Degree; preferred
  • 2 - 6+ years of experience; required
  • Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification; required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license; preferred
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with team members and project managers
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to gain expertise in specialized stormwater and hydraulic models
  • Working knowledge of software programs: HEC-RAS, ESRI GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office
