About the role

  • Manage fresh and service counters at HIT, a leading German grocery retailer. Ensure product availability, inspire your team, and provide excellent customer service while promoting sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • You independently manage the fresh and service counters in your HIT store
  • You ensure product availability and that the numbers in your area of responsibility are correct
  • Together with your team, you create attractive product displays
  • You advise and serve customers — acting as a role model for your team
  • You are responsible for the service counters and ensure optimal performance of the corresponding refrigerated shelves and freezers in the self-service area
  • Through careful staff scheduling, you motivate, develop and inspire your employees

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a specialist sales assistant in the fresh-food sector or as a butcher
  • Ideally a master craftsman’s certificate in butchery or further qualification as a meat or cheese sommelier
  • Preferably some initial leadership experience at service counters
  • Excellent knowledge of sausage/cold-cut, meat, cheese and fish products
  • A sociable, responsible team-player personality
