About the role

Responsibilities

  • You independently manage the fresh and service counters in your assigned HIT store
  • You ensure product availability and that inventory and performance figures in your area of responsibility are accurate
  • Together with your team, you present products attractively
  • You advise and serve customers individually, personally, knowledgeably and warmly
  • You are responsible for the service counters and ensure the optimal performance of the corresponding refrigerated shelves and freezers in the self-service area
  • Through careful staff scheduling, you motivate, develop and inspire your team

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a retail specialist in the fresh department (Fachverkäufer im Frischebereich) or as a butcher/meatcutter
  • Ideally a master craftsman’s certificate in the butchery trade (Meister) or further training as a meat or cheese sommelier
  • Preferably initial leadership experience in service counter operations
  • Excellent knowledge of sausages, meats, cheeses and fish products
  • A sociable, responsible team-player personality
