About the role
- Mechanical Systems Engineer supporting PM AAA within ACV and AAV Sustainment Team. Conducting technical analyses, developing documentation, and supporting hardware integration and testing.
Responsibilities
- Support the Program Manager, Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) within ACV and AAV Sustainment Team
- Review, analyze, and develop technical documentation to support engineering change proposals and sustainment objectives
- Conduct detailed technical analyses and participate in design and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) reviews
- Witness hardware integration onto AAV/ACV platforms and observe test execution
- Review test plans and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop informational briefs and present results of AAV/ACV modification tasks to government stakeholders in support of program schedules
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional experience in mechanical or systems engineering
- Engineering design reviews and technical analysis
- Reviewing and commenting on technical documentation (requirements, CAD files, test plans/reports, engineering change documents)
- Supporting integration and testing of mechanical systems
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks
- Familiarity with sustainment processes, configuration management, structured technical reviews, and life cycle support is essential
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Active Secret clearance required
