About the role

  • Mechanical Systems Engineer supporting PM AAA within ACV and AAV Sustainment Team. Conducting technical analyses, developing documentation, and supporting hardware integration and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager, Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) within ACV and AAV Sustainment Team
  • Review, analyze, and develop technical documentation to support engineering change proposals and sustainment objectives
  • Conduct detailed technical analyses and participate in design and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) reviews
  • Witness hardware integration onto AAV/ACV platforms and observe test execution
  • Review test plans and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Develop informational briefs and present results of AAV/ACV modification tasks to government stakeholders in support of program schedules

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in mechanical or systems engineering
  • Engineering design reviews and technical analysis
  • Reviewing and commenting on technical documentation (requirements, CAD files, test plans/reports, engineering change documents)
  • Supporting integration and testing of mechanical systems
  • Identifying and mitigating technical risks
  • Familiarity with sustainment processes, configuration management, structured technical reviews, and life cycle support is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • Active Secret clearance required
