General Building Engineer performing planned and reactive maintenance in HMP Lincoln prisons. Ensuring safety and compliance in statutory maintenance for facilities management.
Responsibilities
Ensuring availability of critical parts for statutory tasks and managing remedial tasks in the CAFM system
Performing general and semi-skilled maintenance activities, including security systems like CCTV and alarms
Conducting monthly checks and tests of fire extinguisher equipment, fire hydrants, and hoses
Completing quarterly RCD testing and inspect Misting Units
Maintaining fire doors and performing flushing and tap temperature tests as per water risk assessments
Undertaking monthly and annual emergency lighting checks
Checking and testing smoke vents as required
Carrying out any other duties as required
Requirements
Experienced in multiple areas of maintenance such as Fire, Door Maintenance, Extinguisher Maintenance, Alarm Core Points, Emergency Lighting, RCD, Water Temperature Testing
IT skills
Prison Security Clearance (Amey will support through this process)
