About the role

  • Field Service Engineer providing highly visible customer support through on-site installation and repair of complex equipment and systems. Working with MKS Instruments in Austin, Texas area with occasional travel to customer locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, servicing and repair of complex equipment and systems
  • Checking out and approving operational quality of system equipment
  • Serving as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects
  • Responsible for operational quality of system equipment

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent combinations of work and school
  • Bachelor's degree and/or applicable certification is preferred
  • 5 years of related Semiconductor or similar industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Strong analytic, business and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, self-driven, positive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high tech environment
