About the role
- Accountant responsible for financial management and reporting in the real estate sector. Involved in tax compliance, budget planning, and financial insights for management.
Responsibilities
- Support the calculation and control of taxes and contributions (RET, PIS, COFINS, IRPJ and CSLL), ensuring correct assessment and compliance with fiscal obligations.
- Calculate revenue from property sales in accordance with construction progress and the adopted accounting method.
- Control construction costs, ensuring correct posting of costs in the accounting system.
- Assist with the accounting control of construction projects and real estate developments, including monitoring costs, investments and revenues.
- Intercompany allocations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and financial statements (balance sheet, income statement/DRE, cash flow, etc.) for company management, ensuring information is accurate and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Perform reconciliations of accounting accounts, especially those related to fixed assets, accounts payable and receivable, and investments in real estate.
- Perform accounting entries for developments, taking into account construction progress and the delivery of units.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Sciences Contábeis).
- Experience in accounting, preferably in companies within the real estate sector or focused on property development.
- Proficiency in accounting for real estate development and applicable accounting regimes (accrual, cash, etc.).
- Knowledge of accounting, fiscal and tax standards applicable to the real estate sector (IFRS, CPC, etc.).
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERPs; knowledge of Mega is a plus.
- Knowledge of tax calculations and fiscal obligations for companies in the real estate industry.
