Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices with Spring Boot, applying event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka.
- Implement and optimize producers, consumers, and streaming applications, integrating Apache Flink for real-time data processing and analytics.
- Ensure efficient integration between Kafka, Flink, and microservices, collaborating with architects and DevOps teams.
- Monitor, diagnose, and optimize Kafka clusters and Flink jobs for high performance and scalability.
- Ensure security, regulatory compliance, and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document solutions and keep documentation up to date.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Desired experience level: Senior, with more than 8 years of experience
- Advanced experience with Apache Kafka (required) and microservices using Spring Boot
- Advanced experience with Apache Flink (required) for real-time data processing
- Strong command of Java; experience with blocking (synchronous) programming or Scala
- Solid knowledge of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and data formats such as Avro and JSON
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish. Preferred: experience with AWS, monitoring tools (ELK), regulated environments, and financial services
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to agile environments and a focus on continuous improvement
