About the role
- Accountant supporting Record to Report functions for North America and Central America. Providing internal accounting support and resolving user issues in a global company.
Responsibilities
- Provides support to the Record to Report area (accounting department) for the North America (AMN) and Central America (AMC) regions for supplier, finance, and plant accounting entry processes.
- Acts as an active backup for the Supplier and Finance review cycle in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
- Provides support to internal accounting users at Michelin.
- Resolves operational issues and user requests when possible and escalates to the Business Support Experts (and/or IS Level 2 support teams) when necessary.
- Ensures that processes and applications are applied and used correctly (including parameters).
- Updates user documentation (procedures, operating modes, etc.).
- Identifies needs for job-specific skills development.
- Trains users.
- Provides key feedback on the performance of processes and applications, as well as evolution needs, to the Business Support Expert.
- Contributes to the deployment of processes and tools.
- Resolves issues and documents the solution in a timely manner (review, research, deep analysis, etc.).
- Ensures rapid escalation of the problem to level 2 (BSE).
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of accounting experience.
- C1 level English (contact with the United States and Canada).
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
