Senior Principal Thermal Engineer developing next-gen AI infrastructure with a focus on cooling technologies for Dell Technologies. Engaging with top-tier AI customers and suppliers to optimize solutions.
Responsibilities
Participate in the development of next-generation large-scale AI Infrastructure with focus on leading Cooling and thermal technologies – direct liquid cooling, cold plates, coolant distribution unit technology, heat exchanger, and rack integration technologies.
Engage with high profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications.
Work closely with the suppliers, CTO organization, and hardware engineering to enable the supply base to move at scale.
Lead critical industry relationships with the supply base to develop advanced cooling technologies for AI solutions.
Help develop business cases for future product strategies and position supply base for working in the Dell supply chain at scale.
Engage with procurement on supplier development strategies.
Requirements
Senior-level experience in technical design with thermals / liquid cooling technologies
Deep industry and supplier knowledge, particularly in product development and engineering
Strong relationships with the supply base and the ability to build long-term technical engagement strategies
Expertise in liquid and air-cooling solutions to support data center deployments. Deep knowledge of CDUs, cold plates, rear door heat exchangers and overall coolant distribution systems for data centers
15+ years industry experience with bachelor’s degree or equivalent skill
Strong communication skills – strategic analysis, insight building, and cross-functional executive communications.
