About the role

  • UX Designer collaborating with analysts and developers on federal government web applications. Enhancing usability and delivering design components as part of an agile scrum team.

Responsibilities

  • You will work as part of a highly collaborative, high-performing agile scrum team, working with analysts and developers to refine requirements, propose design components, and enhance the usability of features for a public-facing suite of federal government web applications.
  • You will participate in all agile ceremonies and serve as the Design SME across multiple cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability
  • 3+ years' experience as a UX Designer supporting a web-based application
  • 3+ years' experience using design tools including AdobeXD, Mural, and Invision to create userflows, prototypes, wireframes, and mockups
  • 3+ years' experience developing UX artifacts supporting design research and architecture
  • 3+ years' experience conducting user research, testing designs with end users, synthesizing system data, presenting findings to different stakeholder groups, and finding qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate designs
  • Strong understanding of business requirements and how they impact design and a user's digital experience
  • Experience using Atlassian suite of tools in support of large-scale development in a kanban or scrum environment
