- Power Distribution Engineer Lead managing engineering and maintenance of MV power distribution systems for Metallus. Coordinating projects, providing support, and ensuring reliable power supply across plants.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and directs resources for engineering, design, construction, and maintenance of MV power distribution systems.
- Manages projects from concept to installation, resolving distribution issues within substations.
- Provides support for MV power distribution challenges exceeding on-site capabilities.
- Responsible for engineering and troubleshooting MV power distribution activities.
- Executes MV Asset Management Policy including maintenance and upgrades.
- Coordinates with regional transmission authority and utility stakeholders for reliable power.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with at least 7 years of experience in project management, design, supervision, or power distribution systems/equipment.
- Familiar with AutoCAD, SEL relays, and PQ metering
- Familiar with MV distribution and MV protection and coordination schemes
- Familiar with outdoor substation equipment
- Knowledge in SEL RTAC, SVCs & Stacom, arc flash calculations, and power quality calculations preferred
