Responsibilities
- The QC Microbiology Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of microbiological activities in Dessau.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of microbiological activities and ensuring QC operations comply with company standards.
- Lead the microbiology department to establish a QC laboratory.
- Develop, improve and maintain microbiological testing methods.
- Identify opportunities and initiatives for operational excellence in microbiological testing procedures.
- Lead product testing, environmental monitoring and water testing as required.
Requirements
- BS/BA in a scientific discipline or related field
- B.S. degree in Microbiology
- GLP/GMP experience required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device laboratory
- Proven experience managing a microbiology laboratory in the pharmaceutical or related industry
- In-depth knowledge of microbiology
- Experience applying various microbiological techniques for product testing and environmental monitoring
- Strong technical proficiency in a GMP environment
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and statistical analysis.
