About the role

  • Financial Analyst performing financial planning and analysis related to reimbursement issues for a healthcare provider. Ensuring data accuracy and contributing to impactful analytics with financial data interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing various financial planning and analysis activities, specifically related to reimbursement issues
  • Contributes to system-level net revenue reporting, with specific focus on ensuring data content accuracy and developing impactful analytics
  • Supports monthly financial close process with specific focus on ensuring data content accuracy, preparing trend models, researching rate variance explanations and communicating findings
  • Journal entry preparation and reconciliation is required
  • Analyzes and interprets financial data, converting it into information that can be used by management for decision making
  • Contributes to the development of accounting reserve methodologies
  • Seeks to understand the relationships and dependencies from all aspects of the revenue cycle and reimbursement sources on the net revenue performance
  • Contributes to cross-departmental projects and net revenue software implementations
  • Liaises with departments across the organization
  • Active in the Crowe RCA user community
  • Remains informed of government and commercial reimbursement and regulatory changes
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree (preferred concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics)
  • Minimum four (4) to seven (7) years of work experience
  • Net Revenue experience in healthcare highly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be a self starter
  • Experience with Kodiak (Crowe RCA) highly preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Skills must include analytical capabilities sufficient for preparing revenue schedules
  • Knowledge of reimbursement structures from commercial and government payors preferred
  • Experience retrieving data from various systems such as Excel, Lawson, EPSI, and Crowe RCA
