Responsibilities
Responsible for the maintenance of company assets, compliance with technical and legal obligations, achievement of maintenance and energy budgets, the Risks AIP and SAVE for the business unit for which they work.
Lead all maintenance operations including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), HVAC, refrigeration, and life-safety systems across 55 luxury units and extensive grounds.
Develop and execute an aggressive Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to ensure zero downtime in a remote mountain environment.
Implement energy-saving initiatives and water management systems that align with Meliá’s global sustainability goals and the regulations of the National Park.
Oversee CAPEX projects, renovations, and vendor contracts, ensuring all work meets 5-star luxury standards.
Mentor and lead a dedicated team of technicians, fostering a culture of "Service Vocation" and technical precision.
Ensure 100% compliance with fire, life, and safety (FLS) standards and local environmental laws.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer in a 4-5 star luxury hotel or resort.
Experience in remote or mountain properties is a significant plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
Deep knowledge of HVAC, boiler systems, wastewater treatment, and building automation.
A "hands-on" leader who can troubleshoot in the trenches while managing a strategic budget in the office.
Fluency in Vietnamese and proficiency in English (for reporting and brand communication).
