About the role

  • Lead global standards management and product stewardship programs at Medtronic. Drive regulatory alignment and operational excellence across medical device product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive standards management strategy aligned with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices
  • Lead the feasibility assessment and foundational design of a centralized Product Stewardship program
  • Establish governance frameworks, decision models, and operating mechanisms that ensure consistent execution, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Create and maintain integrated program plans, identifying key milestones, dependencies, risks, and critical paths to support timely and predictable delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align priorities, capacity, and sequencing with broader organizational objectives
  • Lead multi-year forecasting and planning for program resources, including staffing, tools, and operational capabilities
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with program goals, financial constraints, and enterprise planning cycles
  • Monitor spend, identify variances, mitigate risks, and drive cost-effective execution
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of standards management activities, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory commitments
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and constraints, driving resolution and maintaining program momentum
  • Engage stakeholders across functions and leadership levels to ensure alignment, transparency, and sustained commitment to program objectives
  • Deliver regular updates, dashboards, and leadership communications highlighting progress, risks, decisions required, and recommended actions
  • Define, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness, resource utilization, and financial performance
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights that support operational and leadership decision-making
  • Continuously evaluate program processes to identify opportunities for simplification, scalability, and efficiency
  • Stay current on evolving standards, regulatory trends, and best practices in standards administration and program management

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, Or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • 5 + years of experience working with or managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment (eg: R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing)
  • 5 + years leading multiple projects at once of increasing complexity
  • 5 + years of experience with budget management or financial tracking within projects and programs
  • 5 + years leading stakeholder communications across various peer and leadership levels of an organization
  • Experience with product development in the medical device or related industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience building or defining programs from early concept or pilot phase
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, evolving environments
