About the role

  • Responsible for development and maintenance of CAD/CAM/Simulation system, CLC methodology CNC programs, tooling, and processes.
  • Develops and maintains product/systems to support manufacturing and business needs.
  • Initiates improvements in product/systems and automate processes.
  • Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products.
  • Utilizes computer-aided design equipment (CAD, CAM) and/or graphic simulation and optimization tools.
  • Generates manufacturing process, CNC programs, simulates them in a virtual environment.
  • Completes activities of Lean Sigma projects and process improvements.
  • Functions as “in-house expert” on CAD/CAM/Simulation software and provides training for other staff.
  • Makes appropriate changes in manufacturing tooling and CNC programs when dictated by engineering drawing changes.
  • Initiates CNC programming techniques at an expert level to initiate and lead improvements in CNC programming techniques to improve processing methods and/or part quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years of Engineering experience in a high tech manufacturing environment providing direct manufacturing process support OR advanced Degree
  • Medical device industry experience
  • GD&T Certification
  • Green Belt Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • CAM simulation experience
