About the role
- Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety Engineer at Rubbercraft responsible for compliance with EHS regulations. Manage stormwater, wastewater reports, and coordinate safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead all EHS programs and activities taking place on Rubbercraft site in Long Beach.
- Fill and update stormwater reports, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct and document internal audits to confirm compliance to SWPPP and all storm water regulations.
- Communicate with different government agencies and private organizations regarding the Storm Water.
- Collect storm water samples and send them to certified laboratory for analysis and prepare reports.
- Manage collecting waste water samples and preparing required reporting to stay Environmental Compliance.
- Monitoring and managing the air quality program to make sure compliance with all SCAQMD regulations.
- Manage the hazards waste program and ensure the right documentation of all manifests for collections.
- Set-up, lead, and maintain safety programs like LOTO, Confined Space, Job Safety Analysis, etc.
- Support emergency response plans, including fire safety and spill response procedures.
- Conduct and document regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Facilities and EHS standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all Facilities and EHS activities, reports, and submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or any related degree.
- Proven 4-5+ years’ experience in managing EHS activities in manufacturing industrial facilities.
- Storm Water program experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Work independently with minimum required supervision.
- Excellent computer skills in using Microsoft Office and government internet sites.
