Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety Engineer at Rubbercraft responsible for compliance with EHS regulations. Manage stormwater, wastewater reports, and coordinate safety programs.
Responsibilities
Lead all EHS programs and activities taking place on Rubbercraft site in Long Beach.
Fill and update stormwater reports, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct and document internal audits to confirm compliance to SWPPP and all storm water regulations.
Communicate with different government agencies and private organizations regarding the Storm Water.
Collect storm water samples and send them to certified laboratory for analysis and prepare reports.
Manage collecting waste water samples and preparing required reporting to stay Environmental Compliance.
Monitoring and managing the air quality program to make sure compliance with all SCAQMD regulations.
Manage the hazards waste program and ensure the right documentation of all manifests for collections.
Set-up, lead, and maintain safety programs like LOTO, Confined Space, Job Safety Analysis, etc.
Support emergency response plans, including fire safety and spill response procedures.
Conduct and document regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Facilities and EHS standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all Facilities and EHS activities, reports, and submissions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or any related degree.
Proven 4-5+ years’ experience in managing EHS activities in manufacturing industrial facilities.
Storm Water program experience is highly preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Work independently with minimum required supervision.
Excellent computer skills in using Microsoft Office and government internet sites.
