About the role

  • Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety Engineer at Rubbercraft responsible for compliance with EHS regulations. Manage stormwater, wastewater reports, and coordinate safety programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all EHS programs and activities taking place on Rubbercraft site in Long Beach.
  • Fill and update stormwater reports, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct and document internal audits to confirm compliance to SWPPP and all storm water regulations.
  • Communicate with different government agencies and private organizations regarding the Storm Water.
  • Collect storm water samples and send them to certified laboratory for analysis and prepare reports.
  • Manage collecting waste water samples and preparing required reporting to stay Environmental Compliance.
  • Monitoring and managing the air quality program to make sure compliance with all SCAQMD regulations.
  • Manage the hazards waste program and ensure the right documentation of all manifests for collections.
  • Set-up, lead, and maintain safety programs like LOTO, Confined Space, Job Safety Analysis, etc.
  • Support emergency response plans, including fire safety and spill response procedures.
  • Conduct and document regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Facilities and EHS standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all Facilities and EHS activities, reports, and submissions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or any related degree.
  • Proven 4-5+ years’ experience in managing EHS activities in manufacturing industrial facilities.
  • Storm Water program experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Work independently with minimum required supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills in using Microsoft Office and government internet sites.
