About the role

  • Accountant handling bookkeeping and financial tasks for a medtech company in Bochum. Collaborating on financial statements and optimizing accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Processing day-to-day bookkeeping
  • Coding, reviewing and posting incoming invoices
  • Processing electronic bank statements
  • Handling travel expense reports and credit card reconciliations
  • Fixed assets accounting
  • Managing recurring entries and deferrals/accruals
  • General account reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)

Requirements

  • Successfully completed training as an Accountant or Tax Clerk
  • Experience in financial accounting/bookkeeping
  • Independent, committed and detail-oriented working style
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of modern ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One (SAP B1)
  • Good command of German and English
