About the role

  • Home Visiting Service Provider promoting safe and nurturing relationships between children and their caregivers. Implementing strategies to prevent adverse childhood experiences in New Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe and nurturing relationships between young children and their caregivers
  • Implement strategies that prevent adverse childhood experiences and promote wellbeing
  • Operate within Local, State and Federal Regulations as well as adhere to all MECA policies and procedures
  • Develop positive outcomes and goals based on screenings, assessments, and selected curricula
  • Building relationships, establishing goals and supporting wellness across multiple domains for infants, young children and their primary caregivers and families

Requirements

  • At minimum, a four-year Bachelor’s level degree and Infant Mental Health Certification within 2 years of hire
  • Identifying pregnant women and families who may benefit from home visiting services
  • Conducting scheduled visits with family based on the needs identified in the family plan
  • Providing parenting education to include developmental guidance and interaction to support school readiness
  • Documenting therapy sessions and progress
