About the role

  • Senior Accountant responsible for financial accounting, month-end, and year-end closings at MCI Deutschland GmbH. Seeking candidates with strong knowledge in HGB and SAP experience in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • Active posting in sub-ledgers (supplier and customer invoices)
  • Significant support in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations

Requirements

  • Successfully completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) with further qualification as a specialist (Fachwirt) or certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt), accountant or certified balance sheet accountant
  • Some initial experience in team leadership is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of tax law and the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Excellent written and spoken German and good English skills
  • Relevant experience with SAP
  • Strong self-organization and very good time management
  • A strong numbers orientation, accuracy and reliability are required.
