About the role
- Senior Accountant responsible for financial accounting, month-end, and year-end closings at MCI Deutschland GmbH. Seeking candidates with strong knowledge in HGB and SAP experience in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Active posting in sub-ledgers (supplier and customer invoices)
- Significant support in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) with further qualification as a specialist (Fachwirt) or certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt), accountant or certified balance sheet accountant
- Some initial experience in team leadership is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of tax law and the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Excellent written and spoken German and good English skills
- Relevant experience with SAP
- Strong self-organization and very good time management
- A strong numbers orientation, accuracy and reliability are required.
