About the role

  • Provide business analysis, insight generation, and lead strategic marketing activities for the McCormick Gourmet Portfolio
  • Responsible for profitability, promotion, pricing, packaging, distribution, merchandising, research, and new product plan for the Gourmet segment
  • Develop and implement marketing plans for product segments that support McCormick’s net sales and profit objectives
  • Provide analysis of and recommendations relating to product offerings and business results
  • Understand competitive brands and provide action plans to address threats
  • Understand and identify challenges and opportunities at key customers
  • Develop and execute plans that address key issues and opportunities for the segments
  • Execute promotional calendars consistent with the marketing plans
  • Execute product line optimizations and cost savings initiatives
  • Independently lead cross functional teams and agencies for new product development, graphics updates, and/or new initiatives to grow the business
  • Deliver monthly business analysis for shipment pacing and forecasting through pre-commercial review reports to senior marketing
  • Prepare monthly consumption analysis of key programs and recommendations through the monthly business process reports to senior marketing

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing or closely related business discipline
  • Ideally 1-2 year’s experience in marketing or a related field (preferably in CPG)
  • Strong understanding of Excel, data analysis (Circana – POS & Panel), and financial analysis
  • Good written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership, creativity and problem-solving skills with a bias for action
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and motivate a team to achieve results
  • Demonstrated excellent results in professional positions that indicate interest and capability for the role
  • Demonstrated success leading and championing business recommendations for senior management
  • Consumer products experience preferred but not required
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams a plus
