About the role

  • Mechanical Designer responsible for designing and optimizing equipment solutions in automation. Collaborating with experts and providing technical support in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design new equipment, develop innovative concepts, modify existing solutions, and prepare technical drawings and specifications
  • Perform the necessary design calculations for all projects
  • Carry out sizing calculations to ensure designs comply with requirements
  • Design mechanical parts in 3D
  • Draft functional requirements for new machines under development
  • Provide technical support to the sales, production, service, and procurement teams
  • Maintain communication with suppliers for adaptation or upgrade projects
  • When required, participate in on-site system installations at client locations
  • Perform any other related duties as needed

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant training
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
  • Good English communication skills (spoken and written) to collaborate with English-speaking clients and suppliers
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is an asset
  • Structured, organized, creative, and team-oriented
  • Strong interest in automation
