About the role

  • Assistant Manager, Design at Smucker leading packaging design and project management for JMS brands. Collaborating across internal and external teams to ensure design objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large volume projects with strong project management skills and clear communication
  • Collaborate with Design, Brand and Innovation teams to ensure final project outputs are meeting the design and business objectives
  • Maintain project management tools for Design team, delivering regular tracking and reporting
  • Work closely with Design and Production teams to ensure design intent is carried through to execution
  • Project managing the design aspects of a variety of projects with external design agencies
  • Assist in co-leading phases of strategic design projects, reviewing color correct proofs and digital renderings and fielding ad-hoc image and mockup requests for the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience (Creative PM experience a plus)
  • Experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) project and budget management
  • PC and MAC proficient with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and act with a sense of urgency
  • Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel if needed (<10%)
  • Experience leading external agency partners
  • Familiarity with print processes
  • Analytical skills
