About the role

  • Product Manager overseeing payments product development at an AI-driven software company. Leading strategy, collaboration, and delivery of high-quality payments products for restaurant and retail industries.

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of payments product development, from payment flow conceptualization to merchant onboarding and transaction processing optimization.
  • Define and articulate payments product strategies, roadmaps, and goals that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, compliance, and business teams to develop and prioritize payment features, integrations, and security enhancements.
  • Ensure successful delivery of high-quality payments products that meet merchant needs, reduce transaction friction, and maximize conversion rates.
  • Effectively communicate payments product plans, regulatory updates, and technical decisions to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience with at least 2 years specifically in payments, fintech, or financial services
  • Deep understanding of payment ecosystems including processors, gateways, card networks, and alternative payment methods
  • Technical proficiency with payment APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns
  • Regulatory knowledge of PCI compliance, NACHA, anti-money laundering (AML), and relevant financial regulations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in payment metrics, A/B testing, and data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex payment concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in fast-paced development environments
  • Understanding of Payment Facilitation
