About the role

  • Mental health professionals providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients at Lehigh Valley Health Network. Coordinating care and managing mental health processes for community stability.

Responsibilities

  • Provides mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members
  • Coordinates care for patients and assists them in accessing services
  • Oversees all utilization management activity including authorization of services
  • Conducts clinical assessments for interpretation and treatment intervention with patients and families
  • Provides case management and care coordination services for clients/patients
  • Acts as a liaison between patients, referral sources, and funders
  • Manages mental health - voluntary and involuntary commitment processes
  • Participates in quality improvement activities for the department or program

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Ability to remain patient and calm in stressful situations
  • Knowledge of community resources and referrals to community and governmental agencies for services
  • Understanding of the psychosocial/medical needs of clients for treatment plans
  • LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker - State of Pennsylvania
  • LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor - State of Pennsylvania
  • LSW - Licensed Social Worker - State of Pennsylvania
