Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures primarily on AWS
Lead data engineering and cloud platform projects, from concept to production
Develop and enforce data governance and security standards across platforms
Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and orchestration workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and Glue
Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for platform deployment and management
Apply hands-on coding in Python and SQL to prototype solutions and set technical standards
Ensure performance optimization for large datasets and manage Iceberg tables, Redshift, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a technical leader and mentor.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in cloud data engineering and architecture
Deep expertise in AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions)
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL
Experience in data governance, security, and compliance
Background in large-scale data migrations and platform optimizations
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Experience in European corporate environments, preferably within large-scale, regulated organizations
English profissional level (minimum B2 level)
