Midweight Motion Designer creating engaging animations for music brands in Berlin. Collaborating closely with Head of Music and Creative Lead for impactful content.
Responsibilities
Create short-form animated ads and social content for our music brands
Animate characters, avatars, and graphic elements in After Effects
Turn existing designs and concepts into engaging animations and variations
Build multiple versions of creatives for testing (formats, hooks, pacing, styles)
Add and sync basic voice-overs using AI tools when needed
Add captions/subtitles and prepare assets for paid media and social platforms
Adapt animations into multiple formats (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) and languages
Iterate and optimize existing animations based on performance
Test new visual styles, characters, and storytelling approaches
Focus on happy, friendly, emotional, and accessible animation styles (often for kids / families / mood-based use cases)
Work closely with the Head of Music and our Creative Lead
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a Motion Designer / Animator
Strong skills in After Effects (character animation, expressions, transitions, motion systems)
Comfortable creating animations from scratch – not just editing footage
Experience with short-form animated content for ads or social media
A versatile style range (cute, playful, emotional, simple, clean)
A performance mindset: you care about what works, not just what looks good
Basic video editing skills (transitions, subtitles, voice-over sync)
Independent, fast, and reliable execution style
Fluent in English (German is a plus)
