About the role
- Head of Health and Safety overseeing operations and retail for LRG, a national property company. Guiding health and safety strategy and compliance amidst company growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the Health and Safety agenda across Operations and Retail
- Drive forward LRG’s HSE strategy and annual operating plan
- Implement and maintain an effective HSE management system
- Lead and chair the LRG Health and Safety Steering Group
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve HSE policies and procedures
- Provide expert advice on legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a detailed understanding of current operational and retail risks
- Drive the implementation of practical controls and improvements
- Design and operate performance review, audit, and assurance processes
- Define competence and training requirements necessary to meet legal and company standards
- Coordinate and support incident, liability, and claims management activities
- Manage and maintain effective working relationships with the Health and Safety Executive
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma / Degree or equivalent in relevant subject
- Proven experience of working in a senior HSE role within a retail or professional services organisation
- Membership of IOSH or other relevant professional body
- On-going professional development and strong knowledge of industry and regulatory developments
- Experience in team and individual leadership
- Good communicator with suitable IT Skills
- Full UK driving licence
