About the role

• IBA Operations Technician role supporting IBA Operations Team with accurate financial processing and compliance. Involves collaboration and efficiency in a dynamic finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the IBA Operations Team in delivering accurate and timely financial processing.
• Assist with the administration of loss and non-loss fund monies, including setting up online payments.
• Support daily claims reconciliations between carrier and internal systems.
• Help maintain accurate records of bank transactions and assist in regular reconciliations.
• Assist in processing third-party commissions and resolving basic anomalies.
• Support premium reconciliation activities, ensuring consistency between underwriting and accounting systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist in updating training materials.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience or exposure to IBA accounting or financial operations within the insurance industry is desirable.
• Familiarity with basic reconciliation processes and financial documentation.
• Understanding of claims money management and bank account operations is a plus.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks under supervision.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
