About the role
- IBA Operations Technician role supporting IBA Operations Team with accurate financial processing and compliance. Involves collaboration and efficiency in a dynamic finance environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the IBA Operations Team in delivering accurate and timely financial processing.
- Assist with the administration of loss and non-loss fund monies, including setting up online payments.
- Support daily claims reconciliations between carrier and internal systems.
- Help maintain accurate records of bank transactions and assist in regular reconciliations.
- Assist in processing third-party commissions and resolving basic anomalies.
- Support premium reconciliation activities, ensuring consistency between underwriting and accounting systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist in updating training materials.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience or exposure to IBA accounting or financial operations within the insurance industry is desirable.
- Familiarity with basic reconciliation processes and financial documentation.
- Understanding of claims money management and bank account operations is a plus.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks under supervision.
