Responsibilities
Lead the development and evolution of large-scale data pipelines to support marketing use cases (CRM, segmentation, campaigns and personalization).
Design and implement robust data ingestion, transformation and serving solutions using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python and PySpark.
Structure data for analytical and operational consumption, ensuring low latency, high reliability and consistency across activation channels.
Integrate multiple sources (transactional, behavioral, events and APIs) with a focus on a unified customer view.
Ensure high standards of data governance, quality and traceability using Unity Catalog and data governance best practices.
Optimize pipeline performance and cost, focusing on operational efficiency in distributed environments.
Enable data for Artificial Intelligence initiatives by structuring datasets and pipelines that support predictive models and LLM-based applications.
Collaborate with business, analytics and data science teams to translate marketing needs into scalable data solutions.
Serve as a technical reference, influencing architectural decisions and promoting data engineering best practices.
Requirements
Solid experience (4+ years) in Data Engineering, with strong proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark and Databricks.
Experience building scalable and resilient data pipelines in cloud environments (preferably Azure / Databricks).
Strong knowledge of distributed processing and large-scale data handling.
Experience integrating data from multiple sources (APIs, events, transactional systems).
Familiarity with data governance, quality and cataloging practices (e.g., Unity Catalog).
Ability to work with technical autonomy and influence architectural decisions.
Skill in translating business requirements (especially marketing) into efficient data solutions.
Desirable: Experience with marketing data (CRM, campaigns, segmentation, customer journey).
Familiarity with data activation concepts and personalization at scale.
Experience enabling data for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Knowledge of architectures for GenAI / LLMs (e.g., preparing data for RAG, embeddings, context engineering).
Experience with advanced Databricks features, such as Genie or AI Workspace environments.
Experience with real-time data ingestion (e.g., Kafka, streaming).
