Head of Product overseeing product strategy and product development for Löwenanteil. Leading a team and managing external partners in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
As Head of Product, you take overall responsibility for our product portfolio and lead the entire product function.
You coordinate all threads and ensure our products and product-related processes mesh seamlessly — from the initial concept through production, procurement, supply chain and logistics to customer service.
Develop new products and product variants based on market, customer and business insights.
Provide functional and disciplinary leadership of a team (currently 6 people) across Product, Operations and Customer Success, with clarity, empathy and assertiveness.
Select and manage external production partners, including quality assurance, cost control and scalability.
Build, manage and further develop Procurement as a central success factor — including supplier selection, contract negotiations, cost optimization, quality assurance and long-term partnerships (particularly in the organic sector).
Responsible for planning, managing and continuously optimizing the entire supply chain.
Shape all product-related touchpoints to ensure a consistent and outstanding customer lifecycle.
Proactive cross-functional and stakeholder management.
Requirements
Several years' experience in a senior product role with demonstrated leadership responsibility
Experience leading and developing teams (ideally 5+ direct reports)
Background in the food, FMCG or startup environment required
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing external production and complex supply chains
Entrepreneurial mindset, strong strategic skills and a hands-on operational approach
Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal competence
Passion for food, sustainability and high-quality products
