About the role
- Roadway Design Engineer managing projects and leading a team in Louisville, Kentucky. Contributing to design and growth in transportation engineering for over 40 years at Lochmueller Group.
Responsibilities
- Assist in growing and leading a high performing roadway/highway design team consisting of engineers and technicians.
- Serve as a project manager for roadway/highway design projects, overseeing and participating in project execution from initiation to completion.
- Perform quality checks on work performed by project team members.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of service, communication, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and assist with business development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Roadway/Highway design engineering
- Experience working on KYTC projects
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Experience with project management and accounting software
- Exceptional organization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
